Sexual (R)evolution
21 - 24 July 2005 Belgrade

From 21st to 24th September 2005 we spent three days in Belgrade working on Gender issues in south and eastern European countries. In a group of 22 young people from all over Europe we got together in the context of the Cooperation and Development Network (CDN) in a youth hostel in the center of town. The participants arrived during the day on Thursday while Ivana and I took care of the last organizational issues. After enjoying dinner we held the first official meeting intending to introduce the program and to get to know each other. Therefore we had the group work.........HERE

Gender Evolution

Gender Evolution Study Session was envisaged as the right opportunity to put the basis of a permanent “Gender network”, that will continue to work on gender problems.By enriching the understanding of human rights, of gender roles, gender stereotypes and gender equality, this study session aimed to enhance the capacity of young NGO activists from all over Europe. For one week, 27 participants from all over Europe approached traditional areas of action, as well as more recent one. Matters like equal conditions..............HERE

This seminar will raise the ground for development of the new approach to the current situation related to gender that we have developed following up the existing work in the past. The “ladder of inequality” is following the progress of the women in the society from home, school (education), work, decision making (politics, business, schooling) and public life. In Eastern Europe woman is traditionally placed in a narrow circle of her home and family; choosing to follow her ambitions she is often considered with a negative connotation.................HERE
