CDN Network Meeting 2005
27. – 29. May 2005, Bitola, Macedonia
Report
I would like to inform you that 3rd Network Meeting of CDN (Cooperation and Development Network Eastern Europe) has been held from 27. – 29. May in Bitola, Macedonia. This meeting gathered 14 people from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Germany and Sweden. Delegates and guests in a very pleasant atmosphere of Hotel near the National Park “Pelister” in 3 days we have had a very good discussions, workshops and decision-making sessions that have manage to improve our basic documents (Political Platform and Statutes) and give plenty of ideas for future work of CDN.
We have adopted EC Activity and Financial report 2004 (including Annual accounts), proposals for Activities and Budget 2005 and we have decided a new logo of CDN! We had several good proposals and the final vote was in favour of the proposal that we will sent to you soon (some technical-design work is still needed).
Apart from these document work we have had a general discussion on relation with FYEG (Our special guest at NM was Ska Keller, spokesperson of FYEG) and financial strategy of CDN and we have voted for new members of CDN and new executive committee.
Present Member Organisations from Ukraine, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia and partner organisations from Germany, Hungary and Slovenia were joined by new member organisations of Young Greens from Bulgaria, Romania, Albania and Kosovo (Environmental NGO Earth Savers). Applicant organisation SAEM from Georgia did not get enough votes in order to become member. Delegates would like to get to know people from this organisation and EC should encourage good cooperation in next year with SAEM in order for them to become members next year.
New Executive Committee that we are really proud of is made up of:Â
Olga Fomina (female chairperson), Ukraine
Stevan Petrovic (male chairperson), Serbia
Cvetan Nikolovski, Macedonia
Suela Popa, Albania
Benjamin Grohowski, Germany
Office, project and EC coordination is mandated to Aleksandar Jovanovic, Project “Brining Eastern Europe together” coordinator and Srdjan Antic, office coordinator and administrator.
On Sunday 29. May we have had first meeting of the new committee. Next meeting will be either at the end of June in Belgrade or in August, after the Summer Camp in Romania.
More information about the event as well as all of the new documents, decisions and minutes (photos as well) will be uploaded to our web site latest on Tuesday 7th of June. (www.cdnee.org)
All in all, very good impression in comparison with previous years and still a lot work to be done in order to make our network better!
