Georgian Young Greens: South Caucasus regional meeting

Georgian Young Greens held the annual regional meeting with participants from the Southern-Caucasus region. The meeting aimed to strengthen the cooperation in the region ageygnd to support each other in their political struggle.

The main theme was regional activism and how political participation works in the different countries in the region. The group consisted of activists from Azerbaijan and Armenia where activists face suppression from the government as well as activists from Georgia where democracy has made it easier to get your voice heard, but where it is still hard for green voices be heard in the mainstream public space.

Reaching out (to) Europe – Call for participants

Green European Foundation, with support of Cooperation and Development Network, Federation of Young European Greens and Georgian young Greens, is announcing an open call for participants to the seminar “Reaching out (to) Europe” that will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia from 27th-30th of November. The project is realized with the financial support of the European Parliament to the Green European Foundation.

Europe Ahead! Conference – 2 calls

CDN, the Green European Foundation, Green Forum Sweden and Serbian Green Youth are organising a conference in Belgrade, Serbia, from 3rd to 5th October 2014. The title of the conference is “Europe Ahead!” and it will be devoted to critical analysis of EU accession of countries of the Western Balkans as well as how to involve more Greens and young people in these processes. We are now issuing two calls related to this conference, one for articles (deadline 1st September) and one for participants (deadline 10th September). Travel and accommodation will be covered for participants from EU member states as well as Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia and Turkey. More info below.
