Meet the new CDN Office Assistant

Although we were sad to see Kiki go, we’re excited to have Ivana Vojnov with us in the Office Assistant position.

Ivana attended her first Green event back in 2018 organised by Serbian Green Youth when she discovered a network where she immediately blended in. Since then, she became an active member of the SGY and in August 2020, she became SGYs Board Member. This experience has brought her a larger understanding of the Green movement and Green politics, which she aims to continue working on, improve and fight for.

Welcome to the team and we wish you an adventurous ride with CDN!!!

Meet the CDN Project Assistant

As CDN office is getting bigger, we are happy to announce that the Secretariat will be joined by Elena Petrovska in the Project Assistant position.

Elena’s first encounter with the Green Youth movement dates back to 2017, when she first joined Serbian Green Youth. Afterwards, she’s been active as a Board member of SGY from 2018, and a member of its Secretariat from 2020. In march 2020, she joined the Executive Committee of CDN. Through these years, Elena’s interests and understanding of Green topics were growing, and she remains determined to fight climate and social injustices.

Welcome to the team Elena and we wish you a joyful Green ride with CDN!!!

CDN General Assembly 2020

Cooperation and Development Network of Eastern Europe will hold its 11th General Assembly on 4th – 7th March 2020 in Belarus and will be hosted by CDN Member Organisation Belarus Young Greens.

This year we received 2 applications for host organisation and hereby, we would like to thank Georgian Young Greens for expressing their interest in hosting the GA. We are looking forward for other opportunities for cooperation in the future!

General Assembly (GA) is the highest decision-making body of CDN that gathers at least once a year and has the full power to take any necessary decision in order to realize the objectives of CDN.

GA consists of delegates from Member and Partner organisations of CDN and brings other friends from Green European family to share, network and discuss. GA elects Executive Committee, adopts activity and financial plan for the next year and makes other relevant decisions.

MEMBER ORGANISATION of CDN has a right to be represented by two delegates with voting rights at the General Assembly and has full right to nominate its candidate for any organisational group/position or submit amendments to any organisational document of CDN. CDN will cover the full travel and accommodation costs of the 1st Delegate of each Member Organization. Member Organizations can decide to send 1 delegate with two voting rights or 2 delegates, each with one voting right, as long as they cover the participation and travel costs of the 2nd delegate.

PARTNER ORGANISATION of CDN has a right to send one delegate with no voting right to the GA and has full right to nominate its candidate for any organisational group/position or submit amendments to any organisational document of CDN. The travel costs of the delegates of partner organization are not covered by CDN.

GUESTS are also welcomed at the CDN GA, bearing in mind that CDN can’t cover their GA related costs and they will be subjected to participant fee.

New Office Coordinator in CDN

We are happy to announce that Özgecan Kara is joining CDN Secretariat as an Office Coordinator in January 2018.

Özge’s green political activism started with Gezi Protests in Turkey in 2013. Since then she has been actively involved with Young Greens of Turkey. She was a part of several prep-teams and projects in CDN and FYEG as well as a delegate at the General Assemblies of both organisations. Before joining CDN, she worked as a project coordinator for Green Thought Association (Turkey) for three years, coordinating EU funded projects on policy making and capacity building. She is on the Board of YeÅŸil Gazete (Green Newspaper) and produced/hosted a weekly radio show at Açık Radyo on climate change. Her working interests are green thought, climate change and feminism.

We look forward to further development of our Network with Özge!
