Call for amendments on the general documents of CDN NM 2010
Dear Member and Partner Organisations,
We would like to ask for your amendments on the statutory and general documents of CDN for the upcoming Network meeting (Belgrade, Serbia 30. April – 2. May 2010), as there are:
- CDN Statute
- CDN Political Platform
- CDN Internal Rules and Procedures
- CDN Mission statement 2009 – 2010
- CDN Resolutions
Apart from these documents that are open for your proposals for changes, we would also like to give you opportunity for proposing the resolutions. These are the documents that should serve to create a stand point of our organization and promote our values.
We would like to ask your organization to take a look at the documents, discuss possible changes and if you find appropriate, make the amendments. Amendments should be clear and precise.
All the amendments to these documents should be sent to office@cdnee.org before 20th April 2010 at 24.00 CET.
Please note, that according to the CDN Documents it is possible to propose amendment any time before and during the Network Meeting. However, only those amendments received before deadline mentioned above will be circulated to other delegates and CDN Member and Partner organizations before Network Meeting.
Call for the new Member Organizations and Partner Organizations – NM 2010
Dear CDN friends,
We would like to announce a call for the new Member Organizations and Partner Organizations.
According to the Statutes, organisations based in European Non-EU country can apply for membership in CDN and organisations based in EU country can apply for partnership in CDN.
More information about CDN, our principles, our documents, work in the past and our plans can be found at:www.cdnee.org.
Herewith, we would like to open a call for the candidates for members and partners of CDN.
In order to apply organisation must submit:
- Filled in application form
- Logo of the organisation (if applicable) in JPG format
- Statutes of the organisation in English
- Copy of legal act of registration of the organisation

Call for the members of new Executive Committee of CDN, NM 2010
Dear Members and Partners,
We would like to announce a call for the members of new Executive Committee of CDN. At the upcoming Network meeting (Belgrade, Serbia, 30. April – 2. May 2010), we are going to elect new Executive Committee of CDN.
Members of the Executive Committee are responsible for running CDN together with the secretariat support in between two Network Meetings. More details about responsibilities of CDN EC members and the election procedure can be found in the CDN Statutes and CDN Internal Rules and Procedures (attached).
ONLY CDN MEMBER AND PARTNER ORGANISATIONS CAN CANDIDATE A MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.
The candidate for the Executive Committee
- should be motivated to work in an international environment,
- dedicated to goals of CDN,
- willing and available for frequent travelling, taking part in the meetings of the EC (around 4 during the year), events we organise and likely several other occasion
- regularly available on the e-mail for the on going discussions, work and decision making
Since English is the official language all the candidates NEED to have good English skills (written and communicational).

CALL FOR THE HOST OF NETWORK MEETING
CDN – Cooperation and Development Network Eastern Europe is announcing a call for the host of CDN Network Meeting 2010 that our network is going to organize. if your organization has enough capacity, time and motivation to host Member and Partner Organizations delegates on next years Network Meeting, please fill the application form and send to our office.
The host organization will be responsible for technical coordination of the event with support of the CDN Office, and CDN Executive Committee will be responsible for the program issues. It is CDN obligations to financially support organization of the Network Meeting.
More details about the responsibilities and tasks concerning organization of the Network Meeting you can find attached.
The exact date of the Network meeting is still not set and we will decide about the date together with the host organization. Our aim is to organize Network Meeting during last part of April 2010.
The Executive Committee of CDN will have the next meeting from 27. – 29. of March in Baku where your application will be evaluated and decision will be made.
Responsibilities and requirements of the host organization concerning organization of the CDN Network Meeting 2010
To arrange the accommodations, meeting place (plenary), meals and refreshments for the Network Meeting and for Executive Committee meeting two days before. These arrangements should be done in accordance with budget of the event and actual needs of the group as well as in the agreement with the CDN. When deciding on these issues there should be, apart from the finances, have in mind: vegetarian/vegan options available at the menu and hotel should not be in the city centre (not too far but also not too close to it, in order to avoid people going away during event). No written agreements or payments should be done for these arrangements until CDN communicate written agreement to project host to perform so. CDN is not responsible for any action taken by project host without such written agreement!
Plenary requirements: The plenary should have capacity to host up to 35 people. Ideally, it should be organised in the round table form. The plenary should be isolated from the noise, have suitable light and have enough of fresh air in order for participants to be able to function in pleasant and productive way. In addition, the plug-ins for the electronic devices should be available near the working table.
Additional arrangements: During the sessions we will have the coffee/tea breaks. This should be arranged by local hosts, in case such services are not available at the facility.
Local host support required: In order to prepare this event well, we need to have two persons from the local host, other than delegates, being directly responsible to CDN for the managing work. These two persons should be identified at the study visit and commit them selves to engage fully in performing all of the requirements and be available for any additional work needed for the successful realisation of the event. These two coordinator’s contact data (names, e mails, phone number, and mobile phone numbers) should be communicated to the CDN at the study visit.
To arrange the entire visa and travelling related issues for the participants. These arrangements are related to providing of information of which countries need visa, how can they obtain them and where, writing and sending invitation letters to participants that need visa and if need talking to the foreign ministry or embassy in support of visa for participant. As well host should provide a list with data and/or links to web sites or documents that are helping the participants to arrange their travelling in the cheapest way possible.
To arrange local transport for delegates during arrival, departure and, if planned, field trip. Arrival service (pick up) can be done either through giving a clear information in advance to delegates and guests of how to reach the lodging place or having a meeting point in the city centre or by waiting for the participants at their arrival point (in case it is not easy or cheap to find your own way to the lodging place). Departure should be organised as well in the same manner as arrival. No written agreements or payments should be done for these arrangements until CDN secretariat communicate written agreement to host to perform so. CDN is not responsible for any action taken by host without such written agreement!
To find the co-funding of the event. Local host group is encouraged for finding additional financial support for the Network Meeting. CDN will provide all the help in this and as well make fundraise efforts itself.
To provide CDN with all the original receipts (prove of expenditure) for any costs that have occurred during preparations and are agreed to be part of the budget. In case host can not provide CDN with the original receipts (prove of expenditure) CDN is not obligated to reimburse such cost.
Rights and possibilities of local host:
To promote this activity at local level (in the country where the organisation is situated) as its international activities in cooperation with CDN. Any document sent out host has to have the logo of CDN and the web site.
To organise side activity during the event that will support the interest of their organisation. This activity has to be prior approved by the CDN.
To organise media event and use the presence of CDN Executive Committee and delegates of other young greens, based on prior approval by CDN.
Responsibilities of CDN:
To provide the host with all possible technical support in the work they perform for the event (based on the possibilities of CDN office – visa, formal letters, communications, travel arrangements, equipment etc.)
To provide e support to communications (e lists for communications, phone conference, web site information)
To make a clear list of requirements related to accommodations, transportation, meals, material and equipment and communicate it at latest 1 month prior to activity start to local host.
Participation at the study visit is part of the duty and it is responsibility of the CDN stuff and to take minutes during this meeting and explain all technical and programme aspects/requirements of the Network Meeting realisation.
To make available for the support in the period 3 weeks prior to Network Meeting start to 7 days after NM ends the CDN office stuff on the phone based on their regular working hours time (11h-15h, Monday to Friday) and 24 hours availability and presence at NM location from day before activity starts to day after activity ends.
To manage the finances of the Network Meeting, perform all the transfers and payments related and make the final financial report.
To provide the Network Meeting budget with the required amount for the successful realisation.
To provide the host with financial means for the payments of the agreed and budgeted costs of the Network Meeting or directly pay for the costs in question.
To compensate the host costs that have occurred during the preparations, realisation or follow up based on the Network Meeting budget and prior-to-cost-occurrence approval of the spending by CDN. Any other cost will not be reimbursed.
