Dear friends!
Cooperation and Development Network Eastern Europe is announcing a call for participants for “I know, therefore I act! Information War and Youth Participation”, that will take place in Ukraine from 24th to 30th of April 2016. Looking at the case of Ukraine and integrating experiences from Belarus and Azerbaijan, we will explore mechanisms of the Information War and their effects on youth participation.
Participants will explore how youth activists can get their message out and be heard and trusted. We will discuss how to protect ourselves from deceptive misinformation and how to raise awareness in our organizations and communities.
More information about the call, including a summary of the topics and aims of the project, can be found on the project page.
All sessions will be conducted in English, therefore participants are expected to have a working knowledge of it.
We are looking for 40 participants coming from any Council of Europe member states, as well as Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The full cost of lodging (accommodation, food, refreshments) during the seminar will be covered by the organisers. In exchange, we ask for a participation fee of 30 EUR for participants coming from non-EU and 50 EUR for participants coming from EU countries (including Norway, Switzerland and Iceland). According to the project’s financial agreement, travel costs will be reimbursed up to the limit of 70%.
The DEADLINE for submitting filled-in applications is Sunday 28th of February 2016 at midnight (CET).
For any further information do not hesitate to contact us via office@cdnee.org.
