Croatia: Democracy - time for a reality check?  

Zeleni Prozor held a panel discussion in Zagreb to evaluate the state of democracy, green politics, and youth civic participation in Croatia. Bringing together voices from politics, academia, and civil society, the event addressed challenges like declining grassroots activism and the increasing appeal of nationalist narratives among young people. Despite promotional obstacles and security issues, the initiative provided a safe and open space for honest debate and reflection. 

Building on this groundwork, the project will continue through a podcast series and a collaboratively developed manifesto. These follow-up actions aim to strengthen youth activism and democratic resilience by providing practical strategies, fostering community identity, and encouraging young people to take an active role in shaping Croatia’s future.
