Work Plan 2026
Green youth for diversity of life
Exploring the interplay of climate crisis, biodiversity, and human rights
What is our 2026 Work Plan about?
The Work Plan of 2026 will consist of an international Biodiversity Summer Camp as the first phase, which will be held in July in Bor, Serbia - followed by Biodiversity Local Actions that will be realised all across Eastern Europe.
Both activities aim to explore the interplay between biodiversity, climate crisis, and human rights with green youth organisations in Eastern Europe and equip them with knowledge, tools and skills in the areas of education, policymaking, and advocacy related to protection of biodiversity and human rights.
Biodiversity Summer Camp
Biodiversity Summer Camp will take place in Bor, between 13-18 July 2026!
The Summer Camp will intend to equip participants with knowledge related to biodiversity loss and destruction, its connection to climate crisis and human rights, and equip them with the tools for education, policy making, and advocating for biodiversity protection and restoration
The objectives we aim to reach are:
Enhancing participants’ understanding of trends in biodiversity loss and destruction, its interconnectedness with climate crisis and human rights, especially the right to benefit from a healthy environment.
Providing a safe space for participants to analyse and understand the consequences of biodiversity loss and its relation to climate crisis and human rights, with a focus on youth from underprivileged communities.
Equipping participants with essential skills for education, policy making, and advocacy campaigns creation in relation to biodiversity and human rights protection.
Empowering participants to apply knowledge and skills gained to their organisational workings, and conduct education, policymaking, and advocacy activities related to biodiversity and human rights protection
Biodiversity Local Actions
Biodiversity Local Actions aim to enable green youth activists and organisations to increase their capacities in education, policymaking, and advocacy related to biodiversity and human rights protection in different contexts in Eastern Europe.
