Endorsement letter for Bogusz Schmidt

The Cooperation and Development Network Eastern Europe would like to endorse Bogusz Schmidt's application for his candidacy in the local district elections for the Reinickendorf BVV and the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin.
As a German of Polish descent, Bogusz Schmidt has been collaborating with one of our member organizations, Polish Young Greens (Ostra Zieleń), for many years. As part of this collaboration, in 2022, he co-organized a site visit for PYG members concerning the Young Greens of Local Government and Young Greens for Democracy organised as the part of CDN Local Actions realised during “We are the future, but we are here now” Annual Work Plan. During this event, participants had the opportunity to learn about the workings of local government in Berlin, as well as visit and learn about the workings of the Bundestag.
As a local government official, Bogusz Schmidt has distinguished himself as a person committed to promoting Polish culture in Berlin and helping Poles who emigrated to Germany. He was involved in activities aimed at supporting Polish language learning for children in preschools and schools, and also collaborated with Polish organizations that help find jobs, work permits, and access social assistance. He also collaborates with the Polish Embassy in Germany to promote Polish culture and strives to build partnerships with Polish cities.
Bogusz Schmidt's years of collaboration and experience demonstrate his extraordinary determination and commitment to implementing not only Green policies and ideas but also to promoting Polish culture abroad. He has also participated as a speaker several times at events organized by Polish Young Greens and our sister organization, the Federation of Young European Greens (Puck, 2025).
We are convinced that the skills and qualities Bogusz has demonstrated so far confirm that he is an excellent candidate for the elections. Therefore, we would be delighted to support Bogusz Schmidt in his candidacy for the local district elections in Reinickendorf and Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin.
