Call for Intern – Communication and Projects (Remote)

Cooperation Development Network Eastern Europe (CDN) is recruiting a paid part-time intern to support in the communication and project work.

Internship:

The intern will be involved in creating and implementing CDN's communication plan and will have a chance to implement their own digital campaign. On the project side, the person will have the opportunity to participate in all three phases of CDN projects and activities: preparation, implementation and reporting. Your tasks will include:

  • supporting the Secretary General and Executive Committee in the implementation of the communication plan, including creating digital campaigns,

  • supporting the execution of online activities,

  • communication tasks connected with the projects' implementation, such as social media posts or website pages,

  • supporting the Project Coordinator with project-related administrative and financial duties (as support to local actions' organisers and compiling their reports),

  • preparation of calls for activities,

  • other tasks you might find interesting or helpful for learning and growing professionally.

About CDN:

CDN is a capacity-building network for youth organisations, young activists and politicians with Green and progressive values in Eastern Europe, gathering 18 Member Organisations and many more activists. Our mission is to empower and support progressive change-makers enabling them to increase their political relevance and impact. With our activities and events, that include trainings, seminars, and conferences, we strive to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead the change for more just, open, and sustainable societies.

Profile of applicant:

  • Aged 18 or over on their internship start date, but no older than 35,

  • Has good knowledge of English in speech and writing,

  • Is able to travel abroad,

  • Basic knowledge of video and graphic edition software and social media,

  • General interest in non-formal education or project management,

  • General knowledge and interest in Eastern European politics and a commitment to Green and progressive values,

  • Knowledge of CDN activities and values,

  • Good team player, that also shows initiative and the ability to work independently.


Practicalities

  • Working time of 17,5 hours per week

  • 6-months internship: from September 2025 to March 2026 (with a trial period of 3 months), exact dates to be confirmed with the selected person

  • 550 EUR of salary per month

  • 12 days of paid vacation in total,

  • Remote internship, with a requirement of travel up to 3 times during the internship*

  • Possiblity of employment in other position after the internship ends

*The intern can be based in any country, however, will be obliged to travel for (a) Study Session “Canvas of Change - Youth, Culture, and Political Participation” (29.09-4.10 in Strasbourg, France, (b) Executive Committee Meeting on 24-25 October 2025 (location tbc). There will a possibility to organise a paid study visit to the CDN Office in Belgrade during the internship.

Shortlisted applicants will be informed by the beginning of July and invited for short online interview , and the selected applicant will be notified by mid-July.

For this specific edition of the internship, taking into account the timeframe and legal form of CDN, the exact form of contract will be decided later. You do not need a work permit neither in Belgium (country of CDN registration) nor Serbia (where CDN Office is located), however, you will need to fulfil with tax obligations in your country by yourself.
