Call for the Project Coordinator

CDN is opening a call for a Project Coordinator position!

Project Coordinator is a full-time, paid position, situated in Belgrade, Serbia, in a multicultural work environment. The Project Coordinator is responsible for the design, coordination, implementation, and reporting of CDN’s international educational projects, including the annual Work Plan and Study Session, in close collaboration with the Executive Committee and the Secretariat team.

Working time: 7 hrs/day, 5 days/week (35hrs/week) flexible working hours (some activities will take place during weekends which will be compensated as over-hours). Moreover, 25 days of paid holiday and additional paid time off (closed office) on 8th of March, 1st of May, 11th of November, plus 8 working days off during New Year’s period.

Remuneration: 1300 EUR gross

Contract type: 2 years with 3 months probation period.

Expected start date: May 2026

Age limit: No older than 33 at the time of application


We are looking for someone with the following profile:

·       Substantial experience in youth organisations, NGOs or international project coordination, preferably within the Green movement and/or knowledge of CDN and civil society in Eastern Europe;

·       Excellent written and spoken English;

·       Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination of multiple stakeholders, and meeting deadlines;

·       Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task and work under pressure;

·       Experience in non-formal education, facilitation and moderation of educational activities;

·       Good communication and teamwork skills, and ability to work in an international and intercultural environment;

·       Experience with writing project proposals, budgeting, and reporting;

·       Readiness to engage in frequent travel and flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends when needed;

·       Fully understanding and respecting CDN documents (Statutes, Political Platform, IRPs, Safe Space Policy) and values.


Attributing assets that can elevate your chance of filling the position include:

·       Previous experience coordinating international youth projects or educational programmes;

·       Experience with Council of Europe / EYF or similar institutional donors;

·       Experience in coordinating teams, volunteers, or preparatory teams;

·       Knowledge of Eastern European languages;

·       Enhanced computer skills, including the use of free and open-source software;

·       Previous engagement with CDN and/or other Green political structures.

The Project Coordinator’s responsibilities include:

·  Developing project concepts together with the Executive Committee and aligning them with CDN’s political priorities and donor frameworks;

· Writing narrative applications, drafting budgets, and submitting project proposals to institutional donors (e.g. EYF and Council of Europe Youth Department);

· Coordinating international educational activities (such as the Work Plan International Activity and Study Session), including selecting and leading preparatory teams, facilitating meetings, and guiding programme development;

·  Drafting and publishing calls for prep teams, participants, and local actions; reviewing applications and coordinating transparent selection processes;

·  Preparing participant communication and onboarding (information mails, travel and reimbursement instructions, group coordination);

·  Managing logistics of international events together with the Finance and Office Manager (accommodation, travel, venues, visas, per diems, documentation);

·   Facilitating training sessions and discussions as part of the educational programmes during events;

·   Coordinating and supporting Local Actions implemented by Member Organisations, including launching calls, mentoring organisers, and collecting reports;

·   Conducting and coordinating evaluations throughout the project cycle and compiling lessons learned;

·   Preparing interim and final narrative reports and collaborating on financial reporting and documentation;

·   Maintaining communication with donors, partners, Member Organisations, the Executive Committee, and participants throughout the project cycle;

·   Ensuring proper documentation and archiving of project materials;

·   Supporting the overall functioning of the Secretariat and contributing to the realisation of strategy and activity plan of CDN.


Not having a work permit in Serbia should not stop you from applying for this position. CDN will support the new Project Coordinator with residence and work permit applications.
